Change name for wifi connection in Windows 10

I see my wifi connection name. It is called: WiFi_Motorola
in the Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections

    In Settings> Network & Internet> Wi-Fi
    It shows 'WiFi_Motorola'

Yet when I view the connection from the Network icon in the lower right of the Taskbar it is named 'Motorola'

How to get it to show: WiFi_Motorola

    Using Windows 10 Pro 22H2

    Hello David,

You can check using the tutorials below to see if you may need to rename either your network profile name or network adapter name to hopefully change this for you.

Changed the name in my Motorola router settings

Thanks. The answer was to change the name in my Motorola router settings. It now matches the other locations in Windows.
Once you connect and disconnect to wifi it moves the name to the top of the list of wifi names.

Of course once I changed my wireless name then my Wyzw v3 Pro Cam security camera failed to connect so I had to do a reset which means for the model I have I had to Delete Device then go thru the setup wizard so it could see the new named wifi. I had to press a reset button on the camera itself.... that means climb up a small ladder as it is mounted inside on my window near the top. The reset involves reading a QR code so you have to have the cell phone point to the camera lens. When connected I had to re-position the camera in it's mount so it pointed where I wanted it to. The new model Wyze v4 Cam uses bluetooth so I would not have had to do all the steps stated.

All to match the wifi name in Windows and the router......
