    2 computers sharing information

I think I have very good 'basic' computers skills, but I've never gotting into networking stuff. I have 2 desktops in my house and have one with windows 10 pro now and I'm upgrading the other one to 10 also. I've never tried this before but I'm wanting to know can I have these 2 computers set up where I can get/look for files on one computer while I'm on the other?
    Tks!

It is the same way since XP for Network Shares & 7 for Homegroups or Network shares. Nothing has changed.

My experience - I tried homegroup and it is very easy to set up - but it shared a whole bunch of stuff I didn't want shared so I do it manually by right clicking on the specific folder I want to share, properties, sharing tab, advanced sharing option, then permissions or something like that.
