Can I connect 2 desktops router plus card?

Routers by default support DHCP. That means they should automatically assign a new unused local IP address to any computer hooked up to them. From the start a new computer should have at least Internet support. Being able to access other computer in your network will require further configuration. It is easier with a wired connection but as long as the WiFi card is already working with Windows then that should be OK also.

For example, I just reinstalled Windows 10 on my old laptop. During setup it automatically made a wireless connection to the Internet. That means the router had assigned it an IP address.

the old win10 pc would be connected by cable ,from router, and the new win11 pc will connect to wifi , from router .
or if the router have another socket ,you can lay another cable to new win11
