Ring camera, repeater, confusion caused by lack of knowledge

I have a Ring camera I bought for my backyard. It works off and on due to weak signal.
So I got a no name wifi repeater. I also have Xfinity/Comcast internet.
Things seem to work, but it's hard to tell. I may be having a good signal day.
    So...
On my iphone in settings/wifi I have:
My Household Internet-2.4_EXT is "active". So I presume this is the repeater.
My previous "unrepeated" internet was Household Internet -.2.4 Without the "EXT". So IOW, no repeater.
(edit) If I shut off the EXT signal on my phone is it shutting it off at the router for every phone in the house?

THE instructions say that the repeater works in “half duplex” mode. So that is telling me that performance of anything on the “EXT” band will have less performance but I need the .EXT to send camera data to the Ring Cloud for storage.

Can someone straighten me out here?

    Thanks in advance.

First off where is this "Repeater" located, how far in distance are we talking about where from the device to the repeater.

It's about 50 feet. It's inside the house on the wall facing the outdoors.
    It's sending signal okay.
I'm just wondering about if I'm supposed to keep using the .EXT internet

After further study, I'm mainly concerned about the repeater.
Like does my modem know what to do with the different signals? Like EXT to the camera only, yet everything else runs on "non" EXT signal.

Is the camera fifty feet away from the wall or is the Access Point/Repeater fifty feet away from the wall? For this to work you would need to have a external repeater with antenna to allow for outdoor coverage.
