Internet connection wonky on one laptop
The internet in my house works fine for all connected devices *except* one of my laptops. My modem has two networks on it, a main and a guest, and last night, I suddenly started having problems with not being able to connect via either network. I just ran the troubleshooter and got the following:
Issues Found
"Wi-Fi-2" doesn't have a valid IP configuration - Not fixed
Reset the "Wi-Fi-2" adapter - Failed
Investigate router or broadband modem issues - Failed
As I said, the laptop I am posting with and my phone both connect to the internet just fine (as does a desktop that is connected via ethernet) so I'm confident that the internet is up and the modem is working for the other devices so it must be working on the laptop that won't connect. The problem appears to be isolated to that one laptop. I'm at a loss to know what is wrong with that laptop though. The problem laptop is connected wirelessly via a Dlink wireless dongle that I've only had a couple of months.
How can I determine what is wrong and fix it?
The problematic laptop is running Windows 10 64-bit version 21H2.
