Network Adapter Settings and Static IP Address Query?.

Windows 10 Home Edition version 22H2 and all up to date. I have just moved from Virgin Media to Zen Broadband here in the UK. Virgin Media used a Dynamic IP while Zen gives a Static IP. I input the info provided by Zen into my TP-Link GX90AX router using the PPPoE option and everything works fine but when I try to additionally put the same info into my Windows Adapter settings it cuts me off online saying that DHCP is stopped and I have to use the "obtain an IP address automatically option" instead of the "use this IP address". My question is this okay or is there a workround for this?.

If you have a static IP you dont need to set anything on your computer. Leave it set to automatic as it's demanding.

Your not understanding a fix ip refers to the internet IP which will be the router but the router uses NAT and uses a local IP for the local network normally in the 192.168.1.1 range so you can't input a internet IP on the local network
