I can confirm my "recipe" has failed, even after also trying the suggestion

Has anyone tried uninstalling the driver from Device Manager and then restarting pretty much straight away? The driver Windows 10 installs upon restart seems stable enough so far...

... I have completely unistalled driver and let windows install default one. After that i rebooted laptop and problem was still occuring, however after i powered down my laptop and unplugged both power and battery for few minutes problem stopped for few reboots so far even with wi-fi on (battery still unplugged). Please try unplugging power source after shutting machine down with default windows driver (mine is 8.20.815.2013) and see if it helps!
This has been working for since then without issues so far.

I can confirm that after uninstalling and deleting the driver software, and restarting, Windows 10 installed driver version 8.35.716.2014 upon the restart.

    No issues all afternoon.

Edit: and this is my latest Speedtest result LAN/Ethernet problem (DNS Client Events 1014,Realtek/Clean W10 install-4553613050.png which is much faster than any result I got with any previous driver.

How is Windows 10 magically installing the older driver now? I tried and it doesn't work for me.

With my Asus, I have the problem with the Realtek Ethernet card but with my Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG wireless Network adapter it works good (but I don't want to use Wifi).

BTW (with my Realtek Ethernet Card Under W7) :

I may have found a solution to the problem. I was pulling my hair out for quite some time trying to determine why I had internet initially and then would disconnect shortly after startup/wake-up.

Essentially, I determined the root cause of the problem to actually be the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. If you open your task manager, locate "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" under "Background Processes" under the "Processes" tab. Expand it by clicking the arrow on the left hand side to show the active service. Right click the process with the gear icon and select "Open Services". From there find the service called "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service". Right click the service and select "Properties". For start-up type select "Disabled"; it is probably set as "Automatic - Delayed Start". Then, close that window. Finally, right click the service again and select "Stop".

Hopefully this works for some as it did for me. Currently I am still using Windows 10 and I have not messed around with the LAN drivers whatsoever.

I don't even seem to have that service running so that's not my problem. This is purely a driver incompatibility issue. I gave up and got a usb to ethernet adapter and it works without issue and honestly seems faster than my onboard Realtek PCIe controller. I'm working with Realtek tech support now to try and resolve the problem. It appears Broadcomm have driver issues as well with Windows 10.

Please keep us updated in this thread. It seems you have been unlucky. How did you get in touch with Realtek?
