    Outlook on metered connection

My computer is set up for a metered connection because of data limits. When I open outlook to check me mail I get a Metered Network warning (Connect Anyways). Can I have the computer set to metered connection and change something in the registry to let outlook run like its not on a metered connection? So no more warnings.

    Thanks

Hi zplugger, I've unsuccessfully searched high and low for this same solution ages ago and had a quick look today. Still no luck, only endless suggestions to change the metered connection setting to be not metered. duh

I have a wireless internet connection and truly have no appreciation for M$ suddenly deciding I must have this 4 GB update immediately. All my connections are set as metered.

I have noticed that some recent changes do allow me to use Gmail (without authentication type grief) on Outlook 365 with a metered connection. This did not work last year.

I'll see if I can find any new solutions when I get time and report back.

I first learned of how intertwined Office can be with Windows several years ago with a Custom install of Office on a second drive, worked fine but Office still put about a third of itself on the same drive Windows was on. Because of that relationship I find Office does what Windows has, works 'hand in glove' with the OS, can't do any more than Windows does.
