    I'm just guessing here, but...
    I think he meant that after you make it, you can use Rufus, and then choose UEFI or MBR.

    @Mintmag

    You are correct, Rufus just burns the ISO file, 1st you have to create it. But I`ve always downloaded them, never had to create an ISO file

    But, your last 3 examples in you opening statement were of the same type.

    I`m surprised @NavyLCDR has not replied, as I believe he is very good at this.

    Here is the contents of W7 (as an example) opened with Explorer, what would you want to do next ?

    Tools like imgburn can be used to convert a directory of folders and files into bootable iso image. But it hasn't been updated in a long time and even if you use rufus the iso itself still needs to be set up to use uefi properly.

    Is that a problem ?
    It takes like 5 seconds.

    I`ve never had to set up the ISO, I just change the program settings properly.

    OK, so, back to reply #14, what would you want to do next ?

    I actually have no knowledge in this area. I've never created my own ISO file and I've also never done an unattended install with an answer file.

    What is the purpose of the ISO ?
