No that`s just how many partitions UEFI creates.

You should just let the Media Creation Tool create your USB Installer.

I see. Learn something new today. Previously it was all in one SATA SSD, never knew NVMe could use space from the other SATA SSD.

Now, since I have formatted both SSD's, what format should I format the SATA SD for one partition?

I never parition my HD's. I leave all as it is. Relying on MS Onedrive for backups.

The method of formatting and the Windows file was given by my institution. I was only on WhatsApp basis with the IT technician since Covid-19 is forcing work from home.

I format my OS drive NTFS, I use Partition Wizard to create 1 NTFS partition, Align it, and mark it Active.

I install windows on 1 partition on 1 entire SSD, I don`t do UEFI on my OS drive. My storage drives are GPT.

Ya you really don`t need to create partitions if you don`t want to, as long as you keep your Data sorted.

    My basics

Install windows in the mode you intend to run it.
So e.g. UEFI mode, then run the installer in UEFI mode also.
Delete existing windows partitions before making a new one, it should auto make UEFI partitions.
You may need to use bios boot device menu to force installer to run as UEFI.

I also recommend macrium, its incredibly reliable.

He broke the cardinal rule "Always unplug any/all other drives before installing windows"

    As stated here.

For some reason I had to also diskpart and clean the SATA SSD as well. Now when both are unallocated disk, I just proceeded to install and it works. I noticed there were 4 partitions on the SATA SSD. 3 were like system reserve or something. Maybe the partitions had something to do with permitting installation on the NVMe.

I don't think Windows Setup is likely to install Windows on an external drive, which will not appear under "Where do you want to install Windows?".

That`s not what he was doing, he was installing W10 on a M.2 and going about it the hard way.

After he said "Now to reimage" I was like what ?

All that and you are gonna reimage anyway.
