When you install windows 10 for some reason it sets your GPU display to duel monitors so when it does its last warm reboot that brings you to the log in screen your display isn't set to default primary display hence the blank screen if you reboot again press F2 or what ever key to enter bios disable duel monitors setting under GPU then save and exist and windows 10 login screen is there.
I have nothing in BIOS about gfx cards or monitors (7537)

Hi everyone. I hit the install button for windows 10. After 3 hours of waiting for it to restart I restarted the computer on my own, it will boot up and motherboard will beep, but both monitors will have orange lights and stay off( no hdmi signal)

Any help would be awesome thanks!

different issue, I'd start your own thread if I were you, orange means your monitors have no signal
this is for black screen (though screen is on) and no cursor

I have a similar problem, installation slowed down, stopped several times, sometimes for an hour, then continued. Now, 12 hours into the installation process, I have a black screen, no cursor, but hard drive light is flashing at times. The last screen visible last night was update at 91%, and installation at 67%, went to bed, now 12 hours after beginning, black screen, no response from mouse.

I'm having a black screen too, the first two times the screen was off with no cursor, then after that it was just a blank black screen with cursor but nothing worked, not even Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
Tried Safe Mode (with much difficulty, eventually had to use the command bcdedit /set {default} safeboot minimal) and I still get a black screen with cursor. Ctrl+Alt+Delete does work and I can see the login screen, but task manager doesn't work and neither does anything else.

Edit: Is this thread about installation? Because in my case the installation was completed successfully but it just doesn't log in.

ok, just held down power button, came back to life... install seemed to have progressed to a point where I had to log in. Now it says "TAKING CARE OF A FEW THINGS"
Will keep you up to date.....

Do you recommend me to shut down my laptop or to wait in the black screen ?

Ok, I also have two monitors, I had disconnected one of them, but after adjusting the resolution, plugging in the second monitor again, re-booting everything looks great, even my icons where sorted out as before. So far, everything seems ok, let you know if problems arise again. Thanks everybody.
