Problem with upgradation to Windows 10 from Windows 7

    Please Help!
I have license for Windows 7(32 Bit),but I have unofficially upgraded to 64bit ( means pirated ) by formatting the hard disk. Is there anyway so that I get Windows 10 update

Hi Rbk22, welcome to the Ten Forums.

I think you might have misunderstood something. If you have an official, valid product key for Windows 7, it works for both 32 and 64 bit. You can install and activate Windows 7 64 bit with the same key you use for 32 bit, so simply use the key from your original 32 bit Windows to activate the 64 bit Windows 7 and you are good to go, no problems.

The Windows keys are edition but not language or bit version specific. An example, a French Windows 7 Professional 32 bit key will work, activate and be valid for a Chinese Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Activate your Windows 7 64 bit with the key for your Windows 7 32 bit and you will be able to upgrade to Windows 10.

Unless you changed from 8.1 to 8.1 Pro or Ultimate, then you will have to reinstall the 8.1 64 bit version to get legal so you can upgrade to Win 10.
