How to skip the boot selection option on start up

Just want to check something, I am running 8.1 and 10 in dual boot, but when the time comes to running 10 on it's own how do I get rid of the OS boot selection option at start up?

I know that MSCONFIG has options but it will not allow me to set the timeout less than 3 seconds.

What about the start up and recovery option in the advanced tab in system settings? Would this get rid of the selection screen?

    Thanks

From msconfig->Boot. Delete the entry of 8.1

It would not make any sense if you have a dual boot menu and set the timeout to 0 then you will have no time to select which one to boot from. However, the setting will modify the BCD (Boot Configuration Data) with the time out you select. I have never done this before because I have no use for dual boot but I know you can set it to 0 from Admin Command Prompt:
    1. type: bcdedit /enum all ==> will display the timeout that you set from msconfig or from Advanced Tab.
    2. type: bcdedit /timeout 0 will set the time out to 0.

    To answer your question:
To get rid of the dual boot: delete the entry of 8.1 as mentioned above from msconfig.
To get back to dual boot, from Admin Command prompt, type: bcdboot X:\Windows where X is the drive letter of the Windows 8.1

Awesome, i'll give it a try thanks :)

What I'm aiming for is to get rid of the selection screen when there is only one OS installed, for some reason it still shows with only one option...I'd rather have it not appear at all.
