Indeed. Thankfully I have a few spare keys so I don't have to sacrifice my current W7 Pro or my 8.1 Pro key. Interestingly I tried to enter a few W7 keys into 10 earlier and it wouldn't accept any of them, hopefully that will change when the RTM update hits the Preview.

Could somebody post a link to info that states you give up the right to go back and or use your previous OS as a result of the free upgrade? Please?

I haven't seen that anywhere to be honest, I was under the impression it was an option but I've no idea where I got that impression.

That's why I asked for a link. If something gets repeated often enough it then gets interpreted as fact when its not. I haven't seen anything stating you give up the previous OS and can't go back to it (on that same PC) if you don't like Windows10.

    Same thread purpose, different what-if...

I wonder if MS will have one of these for Windows 10 Upgrade/RTM?

Or, since it will be an upgrade thru WU, will there be an "install.esd" to grab?

I've mentioned in the past that I hope they do one of those for Windows 10. A normal ISO that you can clean install from, that will also read OEM Windows 10 keys. Same as what they offer for Windows 8.1 with the Media Creation tool. 10 Home, 10 Pro, 32 and 64 bit etc.

Be nice to have that day-one.

Gabe stated that Windows 10 Insiders can go right to the RTM. If this is not so then and if I cannot update without giving MS my Windows 7 Key. I will just stay on Windows 7.

Well I doubt very much we're going to get it for free (no previous 7/8 key required).

I would be very surprised if we didn't have to supply a license/key at some point in the process to verify that we have a qualifying PC.. but with the reserve option that might omit that.. don't know and all we can do is wait until the final release comes out in July.
