Running 32 bit software on 64 bit windows (Please Read)

    Hello
I am having an awkward compatibility glitch. I have a stock copy of windows 10 professional and when I am trying to open an application, it says that it can't be installed and that I need a 32 bit system. I know that most other 32 bit software works fine and that windows is compatible with 32 bit software for the most part when running a 64 bit release. Anyone know an emulator like wineVDM to run them in a completely 32 bit system or a registry fix or another application that will fix this? Hit me up.

Can you be more specific on what software can't be installed and that you need a 32 bit system?

I haven't encountered this, but I suppose that what you have is 32 bit software that uses a 16 bit installer. X64 can run 32 bit software, but not 16 bit.

Using 32 bit Windows in a virtual machine is an obvious solution, but I'm not sure that it's thes best one.

You don't say what software it is. If a newer version is available that is more up-to-date, that could be the best choice.

32-bit software should run on a 64-bit system. Sounds as if it is actually 16-bit software, that can't be run on 64-bit Windows, it would need a 32-bit system.

    What it the software?

It is not 16 bit software. I know that because in an old computer running Windows XP it was listed in task manager when the 16 bit applications display were turned off. I don't want to Run a VM. I am trying to run AndLinux and MS Plus! on my computer.

The very first thing on the web site for AndLinux right under the heading "Introduction" states the following (emphesis is mine):

andLinux is a complete Ubuntu Linux system running seamlessly in Windows 2000 based systems (2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 7; 32-bit versions only)

Okay, so we have already established that "andlinux" (andLinux.org -- Run Linux natively inside Windows) is not going to work on 64-bit Windows. Period. End of story. NOTE: Windows already has a Linux subsystem built-in.

By MS Plus!, do you mean the Microsoft Plus! pack for Windows XP (or possibly even an older Microsoft Plus!)? If so, what specific feature(s) are you looking for? I'm sure that pretty much any feature available there is already a part of Win 10 or available elsewhere from other apps.
