No Option to "Reserve" Windows 10. (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.)

I have just ran and installed all optional Windows Updates, I can confirm that I do have KB3035583 and I meet all system requirements for the operating system. I also meet all of the following points published by Microsoft:

If you don’t see the Get Windows 10 app on your PC, it might be because:
    • Your device isn’t up-to-date with at least Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 Update.
    • Windows Update is turned off or is not set to received updates automatically.
    • You’ve blocked or uninstalled the necessary Windows Update functionality.
    • Your device is not running genuine Windows.

I have no hope left, I have been trying to resolve this for a few hours now. No luck. Is there anything else I need to know or any more updates I may need? Thanks.

Have you done a scan/now? I had issues similar to yours. My KB3035583 file was corrupt and had to be fixed. if it is that, fairly easy work around on it.

I am currently running the scan. I'll be back in around 10-15 mins with the results. Thanks

I am absolutely no expert, not even close. I just fixed my own issue it all. The CBS.log is going to be quite large. What i did was when I opened it in notepad I hit the edit at top and went to find. In the box I typed in "find" no quotes. It is a very specific thing and will tell you what/if anything is corrupted.
I used it simply as a starting point

The "sfc /scannow" came up with no errors. The sfcdetails.txt file was empty, so I am now running "sfc /verifyonly", I will then open the file again and see if the results change, if not, I'm not sure where to turn next.

    EDIT:

I have ran both scans for the log file to come up blank... Any suggestions on what to do next?!

Sorry that is the best I can do. With that solving my issue it took me down another path. I do wish you the best of luck in this experience.

I want to reserve my free copy of Windows 10, but I dont see - Microsoft Community

See if that thread helps. The command there magically put the ten icon in my tray like it was supposed to be.

I finally got the icon to appear on my taskbar 5 mins ago.
So, this is how I did it:
    1. Download and run this tool: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...?wa=wsignin1.0
    2. uninstall KB3035583 and rebooted my computer
    3. Run again the previous tool, which was already downloaded in my computer (filename: WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab)
    4. Run the Windows Update. The previous update was found and installed.
    5. Rebooted my computer again.
    6. Checked again for updates - 2 new updates were found (I don't know why they were missing until now), I don't remember exactly what KB's... sorry about this
    7. Windows Update was asking for reboot so I rebooted my computer again
    8. Made sure that "Customer Experience Improvement Program" was set to "No". I really don't want this.
Note: I left # 8 as "yes" so I don't think that really matters.
If you don't get the icon after doing the steps 1-4 then continue with the others and then post here and I will post the rest of the script that was included that I didn't have to do ok.
I do think running the tool was the key to fix the bug in my system.

    good luck

Did you attempt the change in the script suggested by NathanRB in his post? I got the endless loop too and tweaked the script and it worked.
