I have just installed Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB Evaluation

And now I have a watermark on the most right bottom side of the screen that says: "Windows License valid for 90 days".
What that means? Why did I get this watermark? Will Windows become invalid, locked and unusable in 90 days? If yes then why? I got it for free. What should I do to remove this watermark and make sure that I have this Windows forever?

Uhh...gee...Erez: think about what evaluation means. Try it for a while and if you like it, BUY a real copy. When the timeline runs out, you may be able to rearm (restart the 90-day clock) as many as three more times. But after that, you must uninstall, then reinstall to start another evaluation. It's illegal to convert an evaluation copy into a permanent copy, because it violates Microsoft's licensing terms. 'Nuff said.

I didn't notice or think about the "Evaluation" word. Thank for your quick answer. I think that after 90 days, I will go back to Windows 10 Professional I had before, although I deleted all it's files in the disk cleanup, because it took 40 GB on my C drive!

The purpose of the watermark is to clearly show it is an evaluation version. Otherwise someone could sell the evaluation version as the real thing. It has happened before.

Where do I see how much days left until windows expires? And if windows has been expired, can I still use it? If yes then what are the limitations then?

Open and admin command prompt and type: slmgr -dlv or slmgr -xpr

The first displays your full licensing information, and the second command just shows expiry information.

On expiry, the OS may fail to run altogether or may display warnings and close down after certain periods.

In this case, it will stop working and refuse to start, end of story!
