If your going to try a clean install back to Windows 7 .....why not do the Repair install for Windows 10 1st ....see how it runs, then if you don't like it ....clean install your Windows 7 then. ???

I do. I hate the task manager in 10. It's very hard to get my data to copy to my external HD. I figured out that I can't copy/paste, drag or "send to" folders.. I have to remove everything from the folders to save. I can't find things. I will miss Edge which I think is MUCH better than IE. I still use IE to browse because I can find my links in Favorites. If I could find where links are stored in other browsers I'd use another browser. I do use Opera to play a game. It's the only browser that'll work with the game. So, I think that's what I'll do. I'm not shy to the windows forums. I drove you all crazy in the windows 7 forum. I know sometimes days go by without any resolution to a problem and I end up reinstalling anyway. Instead of taking up your time and driving us both nuts annnd getting this done faster, I'll do it that way.

There isn't a reputation button on here?

Thank you very much for all your effort!

I just got your new message. How do I do a 10 repair?

Their is a rep button ....its the thumbs up button lol under your My System Specs ...
You need to download the Windows iso ...and pick the exact same version you have now ....from Tech Bench ....then mount it ....if that choice still works ....from your windows 10, and choose the Setup.exe file. A repair will keep ALL your personal files and installed programs ...IF you do it right. :)

oh boy. Back online early morning my time. And I thought this issue would be resolved by now. :)

Tousdae - The OS is quite frankly totally messed up and probably beyond any repair. Best you back up all your data and reinstall Windows 7 from scratch.
