    Too bad you didn't make a image backup BEFORE upgrading to Windows 10 ....if you had ....you could have made things a lot easier...:)

    Image backup makes a Complete backup of everything on your C drive and then you place this backup on any external drive or a 2nd internal drive .....external is much better choice. Then if you had done that, before upgrading you could Restore your Windows 7 in about 10 mins .....This is using a program called Macrium Reflect. Can't do it now thou.

    Well, I have everything on my external hard drive but I'm thinking your way is much faster.

    You should not be trying to restore from a restore point - you should be trying to revert back to your previous OS:

    Option one ... I've been there in the last day. I don't remember what happened. I searched online for help and tried a whole bunch of things before coming here. I'm going to do one of those options now. Can I not use a restore point becuz I want to go back to a different version of Windows or ... we just shouldn't use it?

    The windows 10 forum doesn't have "reputation" like the windows 7 forum does? Ok bb Thank you.
