    Can you try again to run chkdsk and if you get to that 2nd screen Type Y for yes, then hit your enter key, then reboot, and watch your screens to see if it actually runs during your boot process.

    After you check your C-Drive for errors , then we can try to repair your Windows 10.

    I did run chkdsk but foolishly walked off while it ran. Now I have to do it again.

    How do I check drive for errors??

    That what chkdsk does ...its checks your drive for errors ... :) It will try and repair any errors it finds.

    Ok it did the scan. I didn't get any results though. It just said it was 100% complete.

    It did not say weather it found errors or not ?? That's strange ....it does list any errors it finds ....or it will also report No errors found.

    Nothing. Could it have placed results somewhere on a pad? My desktop doesn't show anything, though.

    I posted a pic above ....that is the screen you should have seen ....It just an example of a screen, yours would have been different.
