Not upgrade, update.
Can you try again to run chkdsk and if you get to that 2nd screen Type Y for yes, then hit your enter key, then reboot, and watch your screens to see if it actually runs during your boot process.
I did run chkdsk but foolishly walked off while it ran. Now I have to do it again.
How do I check drive for errors??

Ok it did the scan. I didn't get any results though. It just said it was 100% complete.
Nothing. Could it have placed results somewhere on a pad? My desktop doesn't show anything, though.
