Help with clean install on new SSDrive

Hi,

I ask for advice on a clean install of Windows 10.

I have recently upgraded from 7 to 10 - all ok but now

Wish to stop using the existing hard drive (HDD) for 32 bit Windows 10 and instead install a new solid state drive (SSD) and load windows 10 64 bit onto that

I have windows 7 Home Premium discs 32 bit and 64 bit (includes Service Pack 1)

How do I do this?

If the computer only supports legacy booting and not UEFI, doesn't the partition on the USB flash drive need to be set as active? I agree 100% that there is no need for Rufus, I stopped using that program months ago after you convinced it was not necessary.

Also since you are changing from x86 to x64 - you must reinstall the OS..
There is no need to reinstall prior OS, just install windows 10
and just skip (when asked) entering the product key.. And your good to go....

Hi..did that..created a Bootable DVD..just popped it in and clicked the "Setup" file and get This app cant run on our pc, to find a version for your pc check with the software publisher!
Do you think its something to do with..at the mo the w10 version is 32bit whereas I ticked the 64 bit box when creating the bootable DVD..which of course is the reason for embarking on this - I want to change from 32 bit to 64 bit.

In order to go from 32-bit to 64-bit you are going to have to boot the computer from the DVD and do a clean install.
