Help needed with troublesome W10 upgrade & persisting error 80004005

I'm currently on OEM Win7 pro 64 bit.
As the automatic W10 update came along in my updates I let it download and install....failed with error 80004005.
Then I did a lot of research on the interweb & W-forums and tried the following suggestions:
    1. WUfixit; => failed installation with error 80004005 in win update log

    2. Net stop wuauserv and bits, delete history & logfile and net start wuauserv and bits; => failed installation with error 80004005 in win update log
    4. Disconnect all third party devices such as USB's, printers etc, uninstall in device manager all audio, video and network hardware and uninstall anti virus and spybot software; => failed installation with error 80004005 in win update log
    5. jcf /scannow from CMD; => failed installation with error 80004005 in win update log
    6. Use GetWin10 app ISO file maker and booted from Win7 with this dvd.....failed installation in popup window;
    7. Clean start Win7 with msconfig.exe => failed installation with error 80004005 in win update log

Net result after downloading and upgrading W10 serveral day & nights => error 80004005 (no additional specifics)

Upgrade fails every time again at the first reboot.

I'm running out of possibilities and getting po

Who can help me with my upgrade ?

    Thx

This solution will not do because I have to upgrade from an activated Win7 to get an activated W10 install.
Furthermore I will keep my apps and personal data.

You should keep in mine that lots of people in the past have had problems upgrading from 7 to Windows 10. Not everyone, but their are lots of people that have. In those cases ONLY a CLEAN Install worked.
Good Luck with your upgrade, we have lots of folks on here that will help you, just so you know. :)

The Upgrade tutorial Old Mike offered is a good option

Some members who could not upgrade via GWX were successful here
