No, you can't upgrade to Pro for free. To upgrade, you would need to purchase a Pro license: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12384/windows-10-upgrading-home-to-pro
Pro has a few more bells and whistles for Work environments. There is no real advantage to using Pro for a normal Home user: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compare

What features do you need in Pro that are not in the Home Edition ?

Being upgrades from 7 Ultimate they'd all have been given the generic 10 Pro key, the one ending in -3V66T

I think ozzie just wants the new machine to be exactly the same as the other four as far as Settings is concerned - makes life easier not having to learn the differences :)
