I don't know if this has anything to do with your setup, but I'll throw it out here for you to read:
bootcamp windows 8.1 pro installation failed: "... | Apple Support Communities
.
Well that's not good news, because that's what I told him too. Clean install .....was hoping you would find a different method.
If you do decide to clean install thou ....disconnect EVERY Drive on your computer 1st. Nothing but the drive you want windows installed on should be connected. Something you have installed, on another drive is messing up your Windows. I have no idea what it is..... Nothing in your DVD drive either ....just the drive you want windows on and your windows ISO file on a usb drive.
Unless someone else has a better idea.....??
One more tip ...if you do decide for the clean install, once you have windows 10 installed ....KEEP Everything on SAME Drive. Do not split up anything and move it to your D drive. Of course its your choice ....but your problem is between Apple and Windows....they don't seem to get along very well.
open a windows command prompt(admin)
type> diskpart
type> list disk
type> list volume
type> select disk 0
type> list partition
Post a screen shot of that Command prompt window..
I have clean installed windows now and everything windows update works now.
That is great news gopalbose0 I just hope you don't change your windows 10 now. Keep everything on SAME drive, and not split it up like you did before. :) Also, please make a complete image backup of your Windows 10 now, so if something happens in the future, you can restore your Windows back, without doing a Clean install again. Macrium Reflect.
Again, Good job, hope you have no more problems!!! Mike... :)
