Can anyone explain what these error codes mean, like MOUPG? Is just one error code sufficient to cause the install to fail?

I tried the link that was poted (TrustMe) and it ran, and now I have a different problem:
"Windows can't update important files and services while the system is using them...restart the computer". Restarting the computer doesn't resolve the problem ...

I tried mr. Fixit - but it doesn't resolve the problem either.
At what point in the guide are you getting that message? What step were you On? Did you copy the gatherosstate.exe file and paste it on the Desktop? Did you right click on the gathersstate.exe file and choose Run as Administrator? Is that when you received the message above? Did it create the GenuineTicket.xml file?

If you received that message trying to create the GenuineTicket.xml file, then I would suggest to try it again in Safe Mode. I'm not sure if it will work but it's worth a try. While in Safe Mode right click the gathersstate.exe file and choose Run as Administrator. Hopefully it will create the GenuineTicket.xml file. It will be on the Desktop. If it works, copy the GenuineTicket.xml file to a USB flash drive or portable hard drive. Maybe copy it to both just to be safe. Keep them in a safe place, you will need the GenuineTicket.xlm file to activate Windows 10 after the clean install.

Before you try any of this I remind you again to make a backup of your hard drive. I hope you already did.

How did you determine it was the USB port? Was it a driver issue or actually the hardware?

Did you find anything in one of the Win 10 install logs?
It was actual USB2 hardware. Flash drives would be read, and then not; devices would charge, then not, or only try and never finish. I found a bad wire running from the front case to the MB. Replaced it and everything was fine.
