    Best Windows 10 download

I'm preparing to upgrade my computer to Windows 10. In my Windows Upgrade files for the last 9 months, I have had the Windows 10 file setting there checked off as not to install. I am wondering if I should use that file or download the ISO file to go ahead with the upgrade? Which one would be the latest up to date file for Windows 10?

Downloading new ISO will be more up to date than 9 month old install files.

Some would argue it doesn't matter because Windows update will soon make you current. I'm with NavyLCDR, download the latest ISO just before you plan on doing it. It has any previously found bugs patched already, and IMHO, there will be less chance of something going wrong.

The biggest issue is that the download nine months ago from July or August will be build 10240. A current ISO download will be build 10586. I am in agreement that it doesn't really matter which minor of build of 10586 is downloaded (10586.0 in November or 10586.104 since February), but it would be a real pain to install build 10240 and then have to go through a whole upgrade again to build 10586.

    Couldn't agree more.
