    Unable to install Windows 10

I have a laptop that I can't install Windows 10 on. If I try to upgrade from Windows, I get 'setup failed to validate product key'. If I try to do a clean install from boot, it asks for the hard disk driver and doesn't display any disks. Weirdly, it does let me browse the hard disk for drivers.

    Help!

Made some progress now - I ran diskpart clean on the SSD and now Win 10 can see it.

Please allow me to join this thread as I'm having trouble upgrading to Win10 as well.
My problem starts when I try to run 'GWX WEB WINDOWS' (Get Windows) I've placed it on the desktop and when I run it, a second window comes up asking if I want to 'Upgrade' or 'Download now and Upgrade Later'. When I click either button, it appears to start but then that window disappears and nothing else happens. No error messages.
I am running Bitdefender, but don't have trouble downloading and installing other software.
I've searched but have been unable to locate a suggestion that helps.
This is on a Dell inspiron w/ Intel i3, 6gb of ram & 1tb hdd. Lots of free disk space.
    Any suggestions?

I mean I gave up on the upgrade install, and just used the media creation tool to do a fresh install.

Why don't you temporarily get rid of Bitdefender, windows upgrade is not your everyday program but digs deep in the system and AVs are designed to stop that.
