Upgrade from Win 7 and Windows 10 Anniversary Update edition

...or restore it from a backup you made prior to the upgrade...

A consistent message from all, so will do it soon. Didn't know about Macrium, so that is a plus. I may purchase the Home version, as it does incremental changes and "item level recovery." Data is mostly on other drives, so will back up some of the important items such as Favorites and such, product keys, etc.

Looking at your system specs, I assume you have Windows 7 Pro or higher.
If so, you will be entitled to a free upgrade to Win 10 Pro.

He was referring to purchasing Macrium Reflect to get the added features of the paid version.

Yes, that is correct. I have Windows 7 Ultimate right now.
