wondering if there is a way to do a clean install of win 10 t. preview

    Good evening,

I installed the windows 10 tech preview thru the windows update on my windows 7 laptop which is a dell inspiron 1501 and it has been almost a week with it and it works perfect. wondering if I use the recovery option in settings to erase everything and reinstall windows 10 tech preview if it will open up a can of worms or not. would like to restore the hard drive to having only one version of windows but not looking to make many long nights out of it trying to make it work properly.

I don't understand what you want to accomplish. You said you installed win 10 thru upgrade from 7 which means you only have one OS installed.

when the machine boots up there is a boot screen giving the option to roll back to the previous os on the computer, plus it looks like it took up more disk space not that that is a main concern.

Do you have a Windows.old folder located on your C: drive? That could be what's taking up all the space you didn't expect.

I don't see it as an icon on the desktop, or in the all apps list. where would I check for it?

I did a clean install of Windows 10 Preview. I just put in a blank formatted disk drive and rebooted and it installed perfectly. I have hot swappable disks and Windows 7 in on a separate disk.
