Dual Account Image's On Welcome Screen

    Hi,
This is my second time of installing tech. preview build #9926, this time I installed it correctly (on a newly created partition on my hard drive). The first time I installed it I had the same issue that I'm having now..but as I'm a senior citizen (and glad to be one)..I can't remember what I did to correct this issue. All I remember is this, to skip having to always enter my password on the login screen, I just went into the area where it shows 'require all user's to use a password' and un-check the box, then I entered my account password..and at least now I fixed that issue, but now have dual account image's on the welcome screen. As I remember..I had to go into the registry to correct the dual image issue..has anyone else encountered this ??
    Thanks,
    David

There's nothing you can do right now to fix that issue, it's occurring to everyone who chooses to use that option.

    Hi BunnyJ,
What a catchy user name..I'll look for that elsewhere on the 'net' and post my findings back in here, it's an 'easy' fix.

    Hi All,
I remembered where I found the answer for this: Sign on displays image twice - Microsoft Community

See also: Sign in with User Name and Password in Windows 8

It's an EASY fix: " In the Search box, type local security policy. Click on local policies, security options, then scroll down and right click on Interactive Logon: do not display last user name. Click Properties and Click Enabled, Apply and OK. Restart the computer." It WORKS !!
