Also, the DL from MajorGeeks keeps failing. I hit MG all the time this is odd to have trouble even if it dows say the x64 is from authoes (MS) site.

It should be 4,000,000 plus KB. My MSDN ISO is 4,310,660 KB for the EN-US 64 bit multi edition ISO. You can download an ISO with the MCT I linked to.
