    Thanks Mike.

OP did a upgrade from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro, then at some point in time, did a clean install (we think) since then OP has had many issues, with Windows rebooting 3 or 4 times a day, trying to do updates, and failing everytime. His last post he showed his setuperr.log.
After reading more of his last msg , looks like he has let some MS techs on his computer, and they have made things worse.
What I think he is going to do now is a 2nd clean install on a newer SSD that he has bought. Then re-install all his personal info and programs. Which he really doesn't want to do IF possible.
@simrick, @f14tomcat, and me were trying to help him 2 or 3 weeks ago. Just thought you might see something in his setuperr.log, that might give a clue as to what is stopping his Windows 10 Pro from upgrading.

Bottom line, the OP seems to be willing to do the clean install if he has no other choice.

    Hi Murdabenne,

Could you please upload the logs instead of copying, I find having a copy of the log on my computer much easier to go through than reading it online where changes can be made out of nowhere.
This is just in case you're not aware of how it goes with uploading :)

If the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc. and post a share link in your next reply

I've read something about chkdsk and trying MCT, what are the results of them?

@axe0 here is a recap I captured a couple weeks ago of what has been done already (if this will help you):

Upgrade to v1511 November update problems
    W10 Pro x64
    500GB SSD OS Drive
    UEFI + MB protected BIOS
    Networked printer

The apps themselves are mostly installed to my applications drive (drive E, 1 TB), with data drive (drive D 3tb), and the boot on a 500GB SSD. Games installed of "F" (for fast), my old 250 GB SSD. So most of my data, my big apps and my games themselves are unaffected by crushing the C drive, with the exception of User data and any registry info, and any DLL/libs they put into the system disk.

Failure suspected with drivers or recovery partition/creating recovery during update

    Steps already performed:
    MCT
    WU
    ISO in-place repair
    No peripherals/SD cards
DISM Cleanup Image – operation completed successfully
SFC - Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
    Reset WU script from MS
    Macrium-paid version (backups)
    DMZ
    Verify/Set services to automatic

    • Automatic Updates OR Windows Update
    • Background Intelligent Transfer Service
    • Server
    • Workstation
    • TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
    • IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules

    Chipset drivers up-to-date
Standard USB mouse + keyboard (gaming removed-ROCCAT errors)
    ASK VG link:
    Language settings – eng-us
    Region settings – eng-us
    Registry key
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade (AllowOSUpgrade change to 1)

reagentc, and it shows Enabled, and on disk0 a partition Recovery\WindowsRE
Recovery image location is blank. Index is 0. same for custom

Heya. Im getting set to redo my install from scratch, remove all partitions from the main drive and do a fresh install.

my new physical setup is below so the zip file I link to will show this instead of my original equipment layout

    drive0 500GB SSD C: UEFI GPT
drive1 256gb SSD F: GPT (old SSD boot drive I'm repurposing during the install)
drive2 1GB WD hdd Windows Mirror drive 0 (hot swappable in bios)
drive3 1GB WD hdd Windows Mirror drive 1 (hot swappable in bios)
drive4 no longer in use, no drive cabled
    drive5 BluRay/DVD player/burner

The GTX670 SLI cards are going away in favor of a single card once Radeon comes out with their upper line next-gen card (mid-line is out now) and I can comparison shop.

I'm taking advantage of this to move most of my data off to a RAID-5 6TB NAS, which has already been accomplished. I think the drive2 and 3 were still formatting in the Computer Manager when I did the snapshot so they may not show up right. And you'll probably see some broken links to D and F drive since I basically removed them and put other drives in place.

The zip file you wanted is shared here

Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.

Viel Glück as we used to say when I lived in Munich (Succes I think you say up in the Nederlands) - maybe if I get bit by this again in the future what you figure out here can solve it. Im off to reformat and reinstall. Everything. And use my Mac Word (bleah) to get my work done whilest I am downloading and installing a ton of drivers, etc.

Thanks again for the assistance, good luck figuring it out.

To my Rig, in the immortal words of Leon in Blade Runner, "Wake Up Time to Die"

I'll check back later on my iPad (the irony).

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

Please check your SSDs for firmware updates if this hasn't been done yet.

You have only mouse & keyboard devices attached? If this is or is not the case, please do NOT use USB 3.0/3.1 ports.

    Let Windows install the drivers!!!!!

If DevMgr complains after the install and subsequent updates finish, then you can search and downloaded any flagged devices.

Win10 is pretty much 100% driver aware.

That extra network device is a VPN tunnel, which is necessary for my work. It is not connected until I make it connect. Medical privacy laws make it legally necessary - and I have never had an issue with it before unless its active. I have a couple gaming controllers connect via the USB3 extension hub, but I have tried unplugging them in the past and running with a generic cheap USB plugged directly into the machine.

Anyway, I redid my install, formatted the hard drives and am now running the latest and greatest Win10-64. And it did seem to come with drivers for a lot more of my stuff than I remember when I did this back when it first came out. Just updating GeForce, getting my logitech gaming drivers (I use a G13 for a lot of things, not just gaming), and the RyosTKL-Pro keyboard drivers was about all I had to do. I have all this horsepower to view and manipulate medical images, but Its my computer so may as well use that to game with as well.

I'm in the middle of reinstalling the VPN software, and then after thats up, redoing all my work software. Thats whats going to be painful - slow links from the hospital and clinical offices. Thanks again for all the help. I wish we could have found the issue.
