    Check this...
    1. Type services.msc in RUN or Start search box and press Enter. It'll open Services Manager.
    2. Now make sure following services are set to Automatic and running properly:

    • Automatic Updates OR Windows Update
    • Background Intelligent Transfer Service
    • Server
    • Workstation
    • TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
    • IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules

If any or all of the above mentioned services are not running or not set to Automatic, double-click on the service, set its Startup type to Automatic from the drop-down list, Apply the changes and click on "Start" button to immediately start the service.

Ok maybe this will help .....hopefully. Also, do you have your printer plugged in ?? If so turn it off....
Also might have to check your network driver .....to see if their is a newer version.

no printer directly attached - its a laser and its networked. chipset drivers are up to date. USB errors are related to ROCCAT custom keyboard gaming drivers, but are not an issue - I unplugged it and am using a bog standard usb kbd and mouse.

OK - last restart didnt change anything. Log file hasnt been touched by the process.

Im going to bed - I work nights, 3 12+ hour shifts in a row, 14 hours last night - people keep having heart attacks, and we fought them, didn't lose a single one last night, but a lot of surgeries for today. I'm off tonight so Ill check back later.

Thanks for the help. This has been very frustrating, I ma glad I am not the only one, and very happy there are people who have a clue and are willing to help.
