It's me again - another problem which might be related to previous.

When I switched on the PC today it went straight into a process of checking the hard drive for errors. (It had been shutdown correctly after previous usage). This was then followed by something to the effect of "repairing errors this could take more than an hour"

This completed within the hour and the machine boots up ok but then I get an error message:

    MOM.exe .NET Framework Initialization error.
To run this application you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework \4.0

I have checked under "Turn Windows Features on of off" and .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.6 both have a black square by them so presumably installed.

Could it be that the original reason for failure of this machine when originally running WIN 7 was a hard drive problem? If I replace the hard drive and reinstall WIN 10 Home again from the ISO DVD I now have will it let me activate it again using the old WIN 7 Product Key (as before) or will it get upset because I have already done that once?

Or is it something much more simple that I have not done or installed?
