I did the following command above as posted, and it turns out that I have the Win 10 Technical Preview.
    Why is this?
I thought MS had already done an original release of Win 10 already from the MCT download page...

How can I get the original release of Windows 10 Pro instead of the Tech Preview?

Anyways, my system is updated to Build 10586.63.
But when I downloaded the Windows 10 files onto my USB flash drive which I did around Jan 1 or so, its showing build 10586.0 with Technical Preview...

Is there a way to download the Original version of Win 10 Pro and not the Technical Preview?

    Now I am really confused...

What is less obvious is you need to re-download the actual meda creation tool again as each instance is version specific. Had MS had given version numbers in the filename this would have been obvious.

This has been noted before in TenForums on that particular build and it's what I see on mine which I upgraded from. It's rolling along permanently activated and updated along with the updates - now at 10586.63. You're right, it is confusing, and I don't know if this was deliberate or just an oversight on MS' part - but I'm not letting it bother me.

Microsoft never changed the description in the ESD/WIM files. It is still the final RTM build 10586.0.
