Well; even if the rollback feature isnt supposed to be there; I am glad it is because i had to rollback to windows 7 because I could not get into the administrator account in the windows 10 tech preview for some reason even though Im pretty sure at least one of the passwords was right; because every password i tried it said was not correct so i dont know if its a issue with the administrator user profile in the tech preview or what; but it just would not let me into it. I even tried using a password reset disk from my flash drive and it still would not work to reset the password; as it said the set password could not be applied. So i dunno what the deal is. And with that said i think Im gonna stick with 7 here for the time being until they get the finished and final product released because the preview just has too many issues with it currently.

and that why its recommended to setup on a second hdd ,or in VM ,or to install it on a test computer.

i have a test computer i would like to try it on running 8.1 . When the next beta comes out does it tell you or i need to come here to pick it up. Also once it is out of beta since microsoft is offering free for one year, do i have to roll this back to 8.1 or will the beta upgrade itself? and also how can i pick it up through the computer instead of trying it off a dvd or flash drive?
    thanks

Yes you can upgrade instead of clean install from dvd or flash drive. In fact MS would prefer that you upgrade.

if you are running win8.1 its not going to tell you when the next beta comes out ,only if you are running win10 now will you be notified of the next one .
it has been posted on win10 forum somewhere that it will not be necessary to go back to 8.1 fro the free win10 ,once out of beta ,it will like be through either windows update or the store app

Ok so i did it, this is a 7 yr old pc. Started with vista, upgraded to 7 then 8.1 now win 10 beta, no hitxhes at all. Upgraded fine so far
what happened to metro screen? This pc of course has no touch but i cannot slide over but i noticed if you put the start in full mode you can move them in catagories like the metro screen, is this right? Is this going to stay like this cause i like it

That's what we get for now but there could be many changes coming over the next few months.

Shawn's got a tweak to revert to the previous style menu and the Windows 8 menu:

i just did rollback to win7, a warning that some apps will not function depending on when there were install I guess, a media player app I installed just before doing the upgrade didn't work, I reinstall it ,file explore icon on the taskbar didn't work ,missing location error ,I just open file explore from [my]computer ,and re-pined it.

I was amazed at how quick it did the rollback
I upgraded win 7 and the rollback did not work.I spent all last night on it.In the end I re-installed win 7 from my USB ISO then win 10 on my second drive all seems to OK now.
