    Downgrade without backup


    I recently purchased a Hp Pavillion laptop pre-installed with Windows 10. I like Windows 10 because it is simple and to the point. However, I am interested in using certain software like StarDock & such, but it is not compatible with Windows 10. Since my computer came pre-installed with Windows 10 I cannot "revert". I have a Windows 7 iso on my computer & I have tried multiple times to run Windows 7. I ran the installer, it prompted me to restart my computer. and there were two bootable options, Windows 10 & Windows setup. Any suggestions?

    Easiest would be to run Win 7 in a virtual partition - e.g. with VMware Player. Here is an installation tutorial - the example uses Zorin (an Ubuntu derivative) but the steps are the same for any guest OS.

    StarDock not compatible ?
    Have you check the latest on StartDock ?
    I believe they have made their products compatible with Win 10.

    P.S. You are willing to give up Windows 10 just because you want to run StarDock ? Is it wise ?

From what I'm hearing one can't downgrade from pro to home, correct ? If that's the case, what would happen if ? I have 2 laptops which came with windows 7 home. I bought both brand new with windows 7 home . What I done with both was loaded them up...
