    Media Creation Tool

Today, Nov 21st, I found out the Media Creation Tool has been changed.
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/softw...load/windows10
It looks like the older one with the choice of bit-versions.

Is this a most current one with threshold 2 10586, or has Microsoft pulled it down and replaced it with the older one ?

I already have the 10586 downloaded and burnt to a DVD. That's not my worry.
Just want to know if this one is the one for th2 10586.

Yes it has been changed.... back to version 10240...

These downloads cannot be used to update Windows 10 PCs to the November update (Version 1511).
    That is interesting..

My link does not have the quote you posted. Please open my link to compare.
That is why I asked. Just to know what is going on.
Does that mean we cannot suggest the link to others for th2 10586 ?

Oh. Sorry. I did not see you'd added to your reply.
So, this one is for 10240. Weird.

Use the media creation tool to download Windows. This tool provides the best download experience for customers running Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. To learn how to use the tool, go to the Installing Windows 10 using the media creation tool page. Tool includes:
    • File formats optimized for download speed.
    • Built in media creation options for USBs and DVDs.
    • Optional conversion to ISO file format.

If you’re on an Enterprise edition, the media creation tool won’t work for an upgrade. Please see the Volume Licensing Service Center for more information.

These downloads cannot be used to update Windows 10 PCs to the November update (Version 1511).

It will download Version 10586.0, it will gather 'Critical Updates' during installation to bring it to Version 10586.11

Try the media creation tool download LINK again....
As of right now the link downloads "mediacteationtool.exe" version 10240

I would think MS restored a prior backup of the website..
I would also assume the correct webpage will be displayed again, soon..
Otherwise not sure why MS would have taken the newer page down..

Downloaded Windows 10 from Tech Bench last night at 9:35PM. I got version 10240. I also have an install of build 10240 and updates to 10586 are not showing up in Windows Update.
