    Hi Edwin

Yes it installed fine from the ISO for me too, however as you know they have pulled all the ISO's which suggests there is a problem (perhaps not an obvious or easily patchable one)

The only few things I did notice are

    1) Adverts appearing in start menu for apps (you can turn this off though
    2) Defender right click context menu appeared, which if you use defender is great, but stays there even if you have another AV installed
    3) to me the most serious, the privacy choices i made in 'customise' on install were completely ignored, had to reset them all once W10 was installed.
    4) I have noticed a few glitches, though sometimes that just seems to happen on a new install

Good luck with your new install, I hope we are not all doing a fresh install again in a few days..lol

    Hi guys,

    Media Creation Tool-screencap-2015-11-21-17.24.45.jpg

I'm very confused with the reading of the Media Creation Tool! On the 19th I downloaded both the 32 bits and 64 bits Windows 10 Pro 1511 10586 .ISO's (Dutch & English). Why is the language of this tool US-UK?

    Dutch Windows 10 Pro 1511 10586 .ISO

    Media Creation Tool-screencap-2015-11-21-17.31.15.jpg

    English Windows 10 Pro 1511 10586 .ISO
    Media Creation Tool-screencap-2015-11-21-17.31.02.jpg

Does the 10240 mean you downloaded a previous (older) release of Windows 10 Pro?

    Cheers

BTW: if I can be of any assistance, providing links to my OneDrive for the .ISO's just PM me!

Although (off-topic) your file explorer downloads where most likely selected as > English international from Techbench
the mct.exe is EN-US and was not used to download the files shown in your file explorer

I just did a clean install on a bare drive/new system yesterday using the TechBench download prior to it being downgraded to 10240. Everything installed and is working fine.

OK, perhaps I was not 100% clear in composing my question.

I was going to upgrade my mum's (78 years old) Windows 8.1 to Windows 1511 10586.11 . I was using The Windows creation tool and found this thread and confirmed with the properties that it is indeed downloading 10240 so I stopped it at 34% . I do have the ISO that I downloaded last week I think its 1511 10586.3 does anyone see any problem trying to install that.
