Thanks to everyone for your help. Updating my BIOS did the trick.

That's what I though. Old BIOS can ruin the day...

Umm, I know that it has been a LONG time...I solved this issue back in Sept 2015. The solution was to UPDATE the BIOS! Thanks spapakons!

I got the same memory management error message

ex: Starting computer hitting f10 and picking 1 of 2 choices of CD / DVD Boot with or with out uefi (the UEFI MATTERS !)
SAY Bios setting is UEFI and you boot from cd in uefi mode then you will install an uefi bootable hard disk.
SAY Bios setting is legacy, you and boot from a cd via (non-uefi) then you install legacy bootable disk.
so I had installed windows 10 via non-uefi boot, but my system bios was booting in uefi mode.
strange is my windows 10 (32 bit ) worked just like you, but 64 bit failed.
So quick fix, change your bios setting to legacy or uefi.
I believe the 64 bit windows dvd changes the bios setting or something (incorrectly)
I have seen this with ubuntu (linux) really surprised windows is behaving the same way.

It could be. I have also noticed that even if you disable a hard disk in BIOS (to avoid installing Windows in the wrong place), Windows 10 will detect it and make it available in the list! The safer way is to completely disconnect it/
