Still didn't get my Win10 upgrade for 8.1

    Hi!

I'm still waiting to get the free Win10 update for my PC running 8.1 pro. I got it on my laptop just a few weeks after the new OS went live, but on my desktop PC I still only have the win icon in the corner that says they are "Validating my PC" for the update and that it will come in the next days or weeks. Well it's been saying that since summer and it's november now. Is this normal and the updates still haven't concluded, or was my PC left out somehow?

I am starting to feel like a broken record, but there's no need to wait for the icon. You can follow this tutorial and install Windows 10 cleanly anytime you want.

Or they can download the ISO file and upgrade directly from that:
Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums

Once the ISO file is downloaded, a USB or DVD can be made from it and run setup.exe from the USB/DVD by inserting it with the previous Windows running and run setup.exe from within the currently operating Windows. The ISO file can also be mounted in the current OS and setup.exe run from inside the DVD drive letter that mounting creates. The USB/DVD can be used to upgrade multiple computers. If the person selects to download both 32bit and 64bit Windows 10, they will have the capability to upgrade from/to 32bit or 64bit Home or Pro - all four editions get downloaded at once.

Not everyone wants to start off with a clean install, DeaconFrost.
