After doing Windows 10 Clean and using in for a month

To date I have never seen many errors or problems since my Win 10 upgrade.

I have never used the command below and wonder what type of errors or problems it is likly to find.

Is it a HARSH command to use of the system ?

    1. Open an elevated command prompt or an elevated Windows PowerShell.

    2. In the elevated command prompt, type the command below, and press Enter)

    sfc /scannow

    3. When the scan is complete, hopefully you will see a Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations message unlike below.

Thanks for any comments as I am learning from each of your comments.

    Best to all.... Cliff M.

This command is used when you have problems with system files. It checks all system files and if they are corrupt or missing it replaces them from a hidden backup folder. I don't know about Windows 10, but when used in earlier Windows versions it replaced some upgraded system files with the older versions found in Windows CD-ROM. Depending on settings, it could ask you before replacing and you would chose to replace or keep the newer file. So avoid using it, unless you have a problem with system files.

Before backing up Windows using Macrium software. I alway run 3 commands:
    1. Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
Clean up WinSxS folder. You'll be surprised that you can reclaim some disk space after some Windows Updates. It will clean up all the remmants from earlier updates that is no longer used by Windows
    2. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealh
Fixing up components store in order to run sfc /scannow effectively.
    3. sfc /scannow
To ensure that no corrupted system files.
