Thanks for pointing that out! Honestly, I don't know. I'm sure that before the update it was not there as I installed Win10 while all other hard drives were physically disconnected. Later today I plan to reinstall 10 this way and then update to build 9860. This will solve a number of other issues, one of which is the necessity to perform disk check when switching from 10 to 7.

    Thanks,
You can also Click Start and type in the search box,
    msconfig
Click on the suggestion on the top,
    Boot section,

That I did. There was no mention of Win7! That's what I meant when I said I could not even boot to Win 7 without unplugging the SSD with Win10. I guess the combination of installing Win10 on the single drive and the upgrading to build 9860 with all other drives plugged in should have been avoided.

You think you could find time to make the picture (snipping tool) of your Disk Management window and attach using the paperclip on the advanced replies?

That I did too. And all my issues with the upgraded version are gone!

The Windows 10 Boot Manager has, apparently, some added security. With my install, as I have done with previous "unknown" OS experiments, I always make a backup image (Acronis, as it happens), of my existing OS. After installation I reinstate the image. With Windows 10 I did have some strange problems with reading external HDs..etc. I did not feel like investigating, and putting my old Windows 8 image back, solved all.

Disk Management - How to Post a Screenshot of

If all other drives were unplugged during install then it wouldn't be expected for the TP to configure a Dual Boot even if it were able to, which it apparently is at times.

What normally works if you tire of booting via the Asus F8 BIOS Boot Menu key (also used sequentially to get into Advanced Boot options) is to install EasyBCD (click Download - no Name or Email required) to the Primary HD OS to add the others as desired.

Win-10 sets a dual boot for 0 seconds and makes it's self the default os so I doubt that is really of any benefit to any one not familiar with boot settings,
    I can't even set boot for 0 seconds I get a warning pick a time 3-... seconds so 3 is a minimum
The default actually gives the impression the other os has been overwritten or replaced by win-10.
