How to enable Sleep? Power only gives me Shutdown & Restart
???
???
This can be caused by the fact that your computer cannot be put into hibernation for some reason. It may be a BIOS setting or it may be an incompatible component or driver that is related to sleep, such as a graphics card.
Is the sleep option missing completely or is it just grayed out?
Try running the following command from a command prompt;
powercfg /hibernate on
Does that change anything?
I had that problem once on my desktop. I fixed it by upgrading the graphic card driver.
Sleep is probably disabled. Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do > Change Settings that are currently unavailable, now put your eyes at the bottom and you will Shutdown Settings, where an option named Sleep is listed, tick it and save it. Now press the Windows Key and click on Power, it will now list "Sleep" as an option.
