    Bummer!

I just got back online 15 minutes ago from a complete system wipe and fresh install of WTP, (on the SSD I might add!)
I'm trying to take my time and not make any stupid moves in haste! All good so far.
I've researched and documented a whack of stuff in the past couple hours but I've got to get my head around it all first and compile it into something presentable!
    Anyway, definitely don't install WMC!

    Before clean install with WMC:

I'm afraid a clean install is my only choice as well Edwin.

If it's any consolation, it only takes about 20 minutes!

Document everything and good luck! :)

    You're welcome.

    Three observations:
    - DO NOT install WMC
    - not wise to try a watermark removal software
    - and, someone posted about all 'Installed Updates' being wiped out after recovering from an Image File, (but I failed to document that one!)

I noticed that error too on mine, I don't mind doing another clean install, it's all part of the testing game.

Is there anyway to remove WMC and go back to the W10 Evaluation Build without having to re-install the OS?
As per my above post, yes:

Solved it by going into Programs & Features/Turn Windows Features On or Off/ and clearing the check-box for WMC under the "Media" check box.
That will uninstall WMC from Win10TP. Then, simply do an upgrade reinstall right over the top of your current Win10 installation and when it concludes you will be right back to the Win10TP default.

I don't understand the objection to a reinstall--it only takes a few minutes, after all.

(Sometimes forums can be a gold mine of information--sometimes, but not if you don't read the posts...)

Hi waltc. Yes I read your post, but since I upgraded to W10 through Windows Update I don't have an ISO file to redo the upgrade. The reason I went that way was that I have a limited amount of data usage per month through my wireless ISP and I was trying to stay under that, so it didn't cost me extra money.

I tried the Windows Media thing and then did a complete clean install to rid of it.
    I really didn't want a Windows 8 water mark.
I must say the WMP did work properly. I decided to wait until Microsoft update W-10 so we could install WMP the proper way.
