Stop Windows 10 Upgrade from Windows 7

I'm trying to stop windows 10 from automatically trying to upgrade my laptop windows 7. I'm not ready for the upgrade and every time I check for regular updates and shut down my system, windows 10 home tries to install itself. So far it has failed every time for some reason, but that is a good thing in my book because like I said, I'm not ready to upgrade this computer.

    How do I stop it?

I tried the idea of uninstalling KB3035583, and that has stayed off my system since, but the computer still tries.
