Cannot upgrade Windows 8.x to Windows 10 (Setup won't start in laptop)

You have bootx64.efi and its showing in my pc bootia32.efi.

Code:

e:\efi\boot\bootx64.efi

This stupid MediaCreationTool downloaded 32bit shit for me twice?? Even if i double checked that i selected 64bit or not
@Crashbash111 does that setup.exe work for you mate? Are you using laptop that comes with pre-installed OS or a PC?

I've used that ISO for computers with Windows 7 installed, and Windows 8 installed for upgrading with Setup.exe and haven't encountered any issues. Also have used it for clean installs in Virtual Machines without a problem. I don't have a 32 bit ISO downloaded to compare it to however.

Thanks! Its ok you no need to compare it fella. I can see some differences already.

Do you think this 3.74Gb size of image is okay? Because its already downloaded 1.35GB and if its not good i am dead in here.

Yup that is a size I'd expect. Mine is 3.89GB however but since it isn't the single language version, that is expected. Hope it works out for you mate. I'm off to bed so I'll check up on the thread tomorrow. Hope it all works out.

Dear, I have the exact same problem for upgrading the 64 Bit Win 8.1 to Win 10 64 Bit.

I downloaded Win 10 (12 in 1) ISO file from Sign In - ..:: FileCatchers Board ::... I have tried all the method above but failed in upgrading. Except the downloading of ISO file from Microsoft link is not done. My dvd has same bootia32.efi file instead of bootx64.efi. I have Pre installed Win 8.1 SL 64 Bit Acer Make Laptop. Can you help me in upgrading the same because I could not understand how this problem is resolved while, in last conversation size of ISO file was being discussed. It may be different for SL or Home or Pro versions. From where we can get bootx64.efi file. Can Some body provide me link for downloading of bootx64.efi file . please help
