    error code 80070003


    Hi having turned windows 10 update off for a few day's I tried the usb media installtion which fails but doesn't tell me why so I tried the online upgrade and after 4 hours of downloading and installing I get
    error code 80070003 yet again.

    Can anyone tell me how to upgrade ?

    Hi Mike. I recently upgraded a Lenovo 8.1 x64 laptop without issue.
    Error 80070003 is usually indicative of partition issues. Have you used EaseUS Partition Manager on that laptop? If so, please go here:

I think this may be due to the Win 8 installation which was done as an upgrade from win7 pro. I think the bootmgr/bcd is on the wrong drive. There isn't a system reserved partition on my C: drive but there is an OEM partition, an EFI system...

Hi All, After downloading Build 10049 through Windows Update, gets to installation process and get this error. Reverts back to 10041. Any ideas ? Jim
