    Windows 7


    Windows 7 to windows 10 killed my windows 7 install.Is there a way to do the upgrade with out a complete install of windows 7.Using the windows 7 Lic Key.

    Don't understand. If you upgrade to Windows 10 then yes, Windows 7 is replaced. It will be saved in C:\Windows.old and you can rollback for 30 days. After that Windows.old is deleted.

    If you are asking if you have to do a complete reinstall of Windows 7 before you can try the upgrade to Windows 10 again, then yes, that is what you will have to do, sorry. I believe you will also have to install Windows 7 SP1 if it's not already there then apply a lot of updates before you can upgrade to 10.

    If I'm misunderstanding something please let me know.

    IF you mean, can you do a clean install of Win10 and then use your Win7 license key to activate Win10 -- the answer is no.
