    Kernel_Security_Check_Failure At 35%/Reverting Back To Win7 Pro 64-Bit

    I would really appreciate some insight on this one :

    I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, legit, all of my programs are genuine and there is no malware/viruses on my system. I keep a very, very tight ship. I had reserved Win10 through the Get Windows 10 App and even though I have not yet been notified to upgrade, I modified that registry key as per MS's instructions, added the "AllowOSUpgrade" DWord Value, downloaded and begun the upgrade.

    All drivers on my system are checked (i5-2500K@4.4Ghz, 16GB DDR3, GTX 970) and up-to-date, same goes for the BIOS.

    Everything started normally, and at the 32-39% configuration range, I get the blue screen "Something Went Wrong" and Kernel_Security_Check_Failure. It reverted back to Win7 5 times in a row that I attempted it with the following :

    -Disabling anti-virus
    -Ran chkdsk /f /r and sfc /scannow
    -Unplugged all USB devices except for a very basic keyboard/mouse

    Mind you, I get zero error messages on Win7 and everything works amazingly well. I have a main SSD with the OS and an HDD for storage.

    I can not think of ANYTHING else at this point...a colleague suggested I kill all overclocking of the CPU and revert it to default values but the OC is done via Asus Tuneup II-sth once inside Windows so I don't see how it can affect the installation.

    If anyone has any clues regarding this, they'd be much appreciated.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anyone ever faced the overclocking issue before?

    Updated: I also have an M-Audio Firewire interface plugged in that I did not unplug as well as a Bluetooth dongle. They couldn't possibly be the culprits now, could they?

    Update: That was...pretty hard to believe actually. It was my Razer Abyssus USB mouse that was causing the issue. It's a simple two button, no programmable function/non MMO mouse so it never occurred to me to disconnect it. As soon as I disconnected it, the upgrade proceeded smoothly, downloaded new Razer Synapse drivers, I plugged the mouse back in, all was good. Just putting it out there in case anyone faces the same issue!
